Rave.... much water has passed under the bow but I will always remember my last few days in Victoria harbour,,,, reminising
with some good old friends and closing my Canadian chapter. Precious, very precious memories. Victoria is a wonderful
place in more ways than one. That warmth was quickly replaced by the cold offshore Pacific.
Rave....San Francisco Bay is predicatbly good weather...warm and dry (usually)
For those Canadians who dislike Americans.....I have yet to meet one
that I truly dislike and totally undistinguisable from Canadians......which begs the question....what is Canadian? Hockey?
Bill Good Jr? Pamela Martin? Medicare?
Rant....The Internet has become such a commercial quagmire....everything now has a fee attached it seems.
Rant.... These guys in there big motor yachts that come in to harbor in groups with their radars spinning (on a perfectly
clear day), creating a wake and usually providing cheap enterttainment as they attempt to land their stinkpots. Idiots.
Rave: Living in a country that "feels" free. Not too many left these days.
Rant: Canadian bureaucracy and smugness. Easy to criticise American policy.
2008 rant: 700 Billion bailout for Wallstreet- the ultimate result of a housing crash and worthless papers.
2008 rave: the Bay weather is so consistant and usable- no wonder so many want to live here.
